Travel to the rythm of the Danza de los Viejitos

Tocuaro

From $950 MXN

We will meet you at Morelia’s downtown to head towards Tocuaro, capital of the wooden masks, where we will make one of these traditional items. After creating and carving the wood, we will experience the Danza de los Viejitos (Old People Dance).

We will later go to Erongaricuaro, to taste traditional and 100% organic food, prepared by a traditional cook of first level. If you loved the Danza de los Viejitos, we will have the best closing show: we will head to Jaracuaro, the original birthplace of this tradition. There, we will make a palma hat, and sew and iron our accessories so they can be ready to wear.

We will get back to Morelia in the evening, with a full and happy stomach and two michoacan crafts made by your own hands!
